Analogic 1.1是荷兰集团NewStyle于1997年9月11日发布的实时虚拟模拟软件合成器。
Analogic专为ms-dos和486级或更好的pc而构建，完全在软件中生成声音。它使用640x480x256 VESA 2.0接口，并直接支持Sound Blaster 16/AWE，SB16ASP和Gravis超声硬件。
32位保护模式引擎是使用Watcom C/C，TASM和PMODE/W构建的。它提供了四部分multitimbrality，1-32语音复音，双振荡器，六个波形，脉冲宽度，振荡器同步，环形调制，三个包络，两个lfo，滑音，失真，谐振12 dB IIR滤波和六个立体声FX程序。MIDI控制和立体声WAV录音也包括在内。

Analogic 1.1 is a realtime virtual-analogue software synthesizer released by the Dutch group NewStyle on September 11th, 1997.
Built for MS-DOS and 486-class or better PCs, Analogic generated its sound entirely in software. It used a 640x480x256 VESA 2.0 interface and directly supported Sound Blaster 16 / AWE, SB16ASP and Gravis UltraSound hardware.
The 32-bit protected-mode engine was built with Watcom C/C++, TASM and PMODE/W. It provides four-part multitimbrality, 1-32 voice polyphony, dual oscillators, six waveforms, pulse width, oscillator sync, ring modulation, three envelopes, two LFOs, portamento, distortion, resonant 12 dB IIR filtering and six stereo FX programs. MIDI control and stereo WAV recording are also included.

Analogic 1.1 has been reconstructed as a native Windows x64 VST3 instrument from the original DOS executable, resources and program data, retaining the recovered engine architecture, DSP behaviour and visual language.
Modern additions include:
– Native Windows x64 VST3 operation
– 8192-44100 Hz internal engine-rate control
– 1-32 voice polyphony control
– Host-tempo sync for both LFOs
– Straight, dotted and triplet divisions
– Host-tempo sync for both FX delay times
– Editable FX Feedback, Delay A and Delay B
– ORIGINAL and optional STABLE filter modes**
– Full program Store and recall
– Per-program LFO tempo-extension storage
– VST3 project/session persistence
– Global engine and shared-FX persistence
– Restoration of unsaved live edits
– Mouse-wheel and direct parameter interaction
**ORIGINAL preserves the recovered DOS filter behaviour. STABLE is an optional modern mode for extreme high-resonance filter modulation while leaving ORIGINAL available for full parity.

If you are thinking “gee, that looks a lot like the mod tracker NewStyle AXS” that’s because Analogic is the direct ancestor to it. Analogic ran in MS-DOS only and is rather unusual for the fact that it was a fully-fledged (albeit
very
gritty) multitimbral virtual analog synth working in
real time
at a time when many other software synths in 1996 -1997 – especially DOS based ones – relied on offline calculations and renders. A rare piece of history here.
