Tape56K is built on the same kind of math used by Motorola DSP56K-based studio hardware since 1990, modeled after the Lyrec TR-533, the 2-inch 24-track tape machine that defined the workflow engineers reached for on every session. The fourth PAA Audio plugin, and the one we’re most proud of so far. We packed it into a single TAPE control. No menus, no tweaking. The TAPE knob compensates the input drive so you can push hard without your mix bus exploding. The natural tape loudness stays, that’s the sound you want.
