– Cinematic pads with a body and soul.
The oscillator has company now, a shadow layer, a sub, a string model and SPARKLE. I added components to get me closer to the sound I heard in my head, and all of them feed that same body. It started with one oscillator and a year of trying to make something more organic than a traditional subtractive synth. What got me there was running convolution in real time inside each voice. That gave the sound a body, part of the sound itself instead of a sample being triggered.
